The MK III has a new look and design that offers improved durability and serviceability. It is 33 inches high and just over 7 pounds. It is the most accurate, durable and easy to install weather station available. It is a wireless, solar powered weather station with new features including the wireless rain gauge and multi-display.

The MK III Sensor Assembly broadcasts the weather data to one or more receivers, such as the Weather Oracle® Display , Weather Oracle® MK III and the Computer Interface. This means that you can have as many displays and computer interfaces in a building as you like, using just one sensor assembly. This is great for condominiums and schools. A new feature to the MK III is the option for a wireless yard-mount rain gauge. If the rain collector ever needs cleaning, the yard mount is easily accessible.

The solar charged battery supply is guaranteed to provide continues operation below 60 degrees latitude. The MK III will operate for at least 60 days without sun.

Since there is no connection between the sensors and the power line, damage from thunderstorms is virtually eliminated, and the sensors are immune to power line votage surges.

The initial sensor calibration is for wind, temperature, relative humidity, and barometeric pressure are traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology.

The passive solar shield for the temperature and humidity sensors follows the ones design of the National Weather Service.

	MK-III with Wireless Rain Gauge
	The MK-III with wireless rain gauge consist of the MK-III and a remote rain gauge. The rain gauge mounts in your yard and transmits at 315 MHz to a receiver in the MK III. This gauge is supported on a sturdy PVC pipe that mounts in a hole in the ground. It is powered by two AA batteries which provide at least a year of operation. The maximum range is 400 feet. The advantage of this gauge is the yard mounting which permits easy access for periodic cleaning. This is particularly useful when the area is surrounded by a lot of trees. 	MK-III with Integrated Rain Gauge
	The advantage of this version is the fact that the sensing components are packaged in a single compact unit and the rain gauge does not require any batteries. 	MK-III without Rain Gauge
	This version of the MK-III has all the standard sensors with the exception of a rain gauge. Please note that although a rain gauge may be added to this version it has to be installed at the factory. Every measured or calculated parameter has a display, including a wind direction indicator. Some windows have options on what is displayed, the temperature window will display either outside temperature, inside temperature, wind chill or dew point. In addition to the real-time data, the Weather Oracle records minimum and maximum values, with time of occurrence, for wind speed, temperature, relative humidity, temperature humidity index, dew point, and barometer. For rainfall, two different accumulations are recorded. Each rainfall counter shows the time and date of the last counter reset. The display may be placed anywhere convenient to a wall outlet, such as a table or desk. Keyhole slots are provided for wall mounting.

Unlike typical LCD displays, the bright LED Weather Oracle display can be viewed from across a room, under any lighting conditions.

The wireless design allows the user to have as many displays and/or computer interfaces as desired. For example, in a condominium or school with one sensor assembly you may be able to provide weather information to all of the member units or classrooms.

The simple setup mode allows English or Metric units to be selected for each parameter. The barometric pressure may be adjusted for the station elevation with a digital offset. A digital temperature trim is also available. A diagnostic mode shows the weather station version numbers, the sensor assembly battery voltage (with 24 hour high and low values), and a received signal indicator.

Wireless Computer Interface

The CC-2000 computer interface is a device that will record and store weather data received from the WS-2000, MK III or MK III-WT sensor assemblies. The CC ( Computer interface ) has 32K of non-volatile memory which allows the device to log data independently of a computer for 3 months. Connecting the Wireless Computer Interface to a dial-up modem will permit remote access to locations such as camps and summer homes. It provides both current and historical information.

WeatherView32 and Virtual Weather Station are included with the CC-2000 computer interface. These software packages will automatically upload any logged data from the computer interface into a weather database on the PC's hard drive. In addition to the real-time display, the software provides a wide variety of tables and graphs for viewing the weather database. These programs have a calendar display which provides the temperature, rainfall, wind speed, and barometric pressure extremes for any month in a compact form.
