Description

The MK III has a new look and design that offers improved durability and serviceability. It is 33 inches high and just over 7 pounds. It is the most accurate, durable and easy to install weather station available.

The MK-III-RTR is equipped with a remote rain gauge. The rain gauge can be placed at ground level for easy access. Rainfall data is transmitted to the sensor assembly (up to 300 feet away). The rain gauge operates from 2 AA alkaline batteries. Batteries should be replaced annually.

The MK III Sensor Assembly broadcasts the weather data to one or more receivers, such as the Weather Oracle® Display , Weather Oracle® MK III and the Computer Interface. This means that you can have as many displays and computer interfaces in a building as you like, using just one sensor assembly. This is great for condominiums and schools.

The solar charged battery supply is guaranteed to provide continues operation below 60 degrees latitude. The MK III will operate for at least 60 days without sun.

Since there is no connection between the sensors and the power line, damage from thunderstorms is virtually eliminated, and the sensors are immune to power line votage surges.

The initial sensor calibration is for wind, temperature, relative humidity, and barometeric pressure are traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology.

The passive solar shield for the temperature and humidity sensors follows the ones design of the National Weather Service.
All materials used in the sensor assembly and weather instruments have been chosen for their durability and resistance to weathering and corrosion. All of our weather station hardware is stainless steel. The station is fabricated from fiberglass and structural PVC and is ultra-violet inhibited.
